The second round of StratoAttack by DMS Timing saw yet another sold out round of action, with plenty of regular hands back at it to try and top the charts. Now pushing your car to its limits of course does come with risks; parts may wear and break prematurely, you may go off track and end up with a car full of grass and gravel, or your MAF allegedly fails mid-run while fuel is still being dumped into the system, causing a gigantic sustained fireball to shoot out the back of your tailpipe, ruining both your rear bumper and taillights.
If the end of that last paragraph seemed a bit specific, that’s because that’s exactly what happened to our good friend Eric who brought out his purple 240SX to play. It sucks, but that’s part of racing unfortunately; these things do happen and you have to be prepared to deal with it, both mentally and financially. On the upside, it does open up an opportunity to identify weaknesses and improve upon them.
Until next time.
