Despite being towards the end of the season, the DMS Timing events are still seeing newcomers on a regular basis, welcome anyone and everyone to try their hand at motorsports. This is always great to see as it means that the local scene is still growing, and hopefully we will continue to see more and more first timers attending future events. For now though, we have a sun that is setting earlier by the day, slowly leaving us with less than ideal temperatures. This didn’t defer the old hands though, as the usual suspects were still around to try and clock their best times. For the first time in a while, we even saw a bit of a change up for the top spots in each class, each of them earning themselves a bespoke award by RA Motorsports.
There’s not much left in terms of events, but if you’re still itching to get out there and drive then The StratoCup is the final DMS Timing event of the year happening next weekend on Saturday, September 16th. This hybrid event will combine both autocross and track sprint elements together, with more awards and even cash prizes to be won.
I’ll see you all there!
-brandon.
