Things have been quite hectic with me and event coverage lately. It’s basically been non-stop since the Calgary Expo with just one event right after the other.
Now I’m not saying that that’s a bad thing, nor am I complaining, but I always look forward to events like the Legitsociety Show And Shine because the atmosphere is much more relaxed compared to the rest of the events I attend (which generally include much more running around over the course of a few days).
As many of you probably know by now, our neighbors up north in Fort McMurrary experienced a devastating fire that destroyed many peoples homes, forcing the entire town to evacuate. They need our help now more than ever, so the folks over at Legitsociety decided to quickly organize a fundraiser show and shine in support of our Fort Mac brothers and sisters.
The car community is huge globally, so it’s always nice to see us come together to help those in need when needed most!
But of course this is still a show and shine, so let’s take a look at some of the cars that made it out on that toasty day.
One of the first cars that immediately caught my attention was this AE86 hatch. While still a work in progress, this car shows plenty of character and I can’t wait to see it in the future as it progresses.
Kevins Spoon S2000 minus the hardtop for some top down fun in the sun!
Massive turbo on this R32 GT-R making it sound like an airplane while driving.
Bryan Antonio’s PASMAG Tuner Battlegrounds winning Rocket Bunny FR-S.
Hyundai Genesis lowered on Work Emotions and APR carbon fiber front lip.
Lotus Elise with APR canards, side rocker extensions, and rear GT wing.
Lonely Evo IV sitting by itself in the far end of the lot.
Terry’s Evo IX which also took home Best Evo!
Lam’s Del Sol making a rather rare public appearance.
Fran’s ITR still as mint as ever.
I’m not usually a big fan of gold plated/colored wheels but quite digging how they work on this S2000.
I also didn’t really mind them on this carbon fiber Rocket Bunny’d FR-S.
You can always count on First Gear to make a strong showing at local events!
Widebody Evo X that we saw back at Driven but this time with the hood popped…
…allowing us to take a look at all that burnt titanium glory.
Peters FR-S with Peter still nowhere to be found.
It’s been quite a while since I’ve seen Scott of Jiggypop. You can catch him riding dirty in this Miata nowadays.
Super cool classic Toyota Corona.
Gerick’s Rocket Bunny’d RC 350.
Never noticed this quote he has on the side skirts before.
Kechupp’s absolutely slammed Impreza which apparently is on static suspension…
…with a couple bottles of juice out back!
Great looking GD Impreza with fender flares.
Not sure if this is an authentic Cobra or not but incredibly clean car regardless.
Legitsociety should be back later this summer with a new venue and a bigger show overall, can’t wait to see you all there!
