It’s that time of the year again where I drive my slow car as fast as I possibly can around the track in an attempt to set a “fast” lap (which you can watch here!).
It’s all mighty fun and dandy but this leaves me little time for photos, but I still managed to snap some throughout the busy day.
Remember if you’re going to come to the track, make sure you bleed your brakes prior!
Glad to see that Christian isn’t afraid to use his 993 Turbo.
Joe and Orrin cooling off in the pits.
Some of the big ballers from Calgary. Unfortunately Kasem would experience electrical problems all day.
Alex’s EM1 seems like something you’d see at Wekfest rather than a track day. Sadly brake issues would end his day prematurely.
Another Calgary regular in attendance was Errol in his RSX which finished off the day with what appeared to be a broken wheel bearing…
…and last but not least, Jackie of Balance Auto Garage’s wild ITR which, of all things, lost first gear somehow. Honda reliability FTW? (I’m just kidding guys hahaha).
Rhy’s old 996 Turbo that blew by me on the track like I was moving in reverse.
Track guru Kyle in his infamous Fit.
Paul’s STO 325IS getting some laps in.
I think I’m right in saying that Orrin’s FR-S is now the fastest FR-S/BRZ/86 chassis around Castrol with a blistering time of 1:26.900. Did I mention that he’s still naturally aspirated?
Errol aiming for that 1:30 time.
I don’t know my Mustang’s but I really like this one.
991 GT3 driving through a plume of smoke.
Perfect numbers for Christian’s car.
Really cool Beetle turbo also blasting around the track.
Glad to see Errol’s old Amuse S2000 being used for its intended purpose!
Aldo rolling with the top down despite the somewhat chilly weather.
Brandon in his super loud DC5.
Very nice lady with a quick Miata that I had a nice battle with out on track.
Haider managed a new PB of 1:34.35 despite having some issues throughout the day.
I was really looking forward to finally see Jackie’s ITR in action.
I mean just look at this thing! Not only that but it spat flames like crazy every time it blew by me.
Peter putting his new additions to good use.
I guess it all worked because he too managed a new PB of 1:34.883!
Arif also made it out to spectate for the day! Hopefully we’ll see his amazing EK out on the track next season.
As usual there are more photos in the Flickr album so make sure to click the link below to check them out!
