Well, technically a couple track days have already come and gone, but I wasn’t able to attend due to both Driven and the Calgary Expo. This past long weekend however I made sure to make it out to Castrol Raceway without any sunscreen, which turned out to be a huge mistake…
You’re probably also wondering why the opening photo is of a bone stock Mazda 3. I’ve always said that you don’t need a “track ready” car to enjoy it on the circuit; all you need is something that is mechanically sound and safe and you’re good to go. This will allow you to find your cars strength and weaknesses, as well as actually feel what effect each modification you perform has on the car. In the end the important thing is to have fun and learn more about the limits of your car as well as yourself as a driver. Props to you Mr. Mazda 3.
Anyways I know a lot of you are pretty anxious to get the photos so I won’t bore you too much with words. See you all next track day!
As always, be sure to check out the Flickr link below as there are more photos that aren’t posted here!
