This past week marked the official grand opening gala of Toyota Northwest Edmonton, the biggest Toyota dealership in Western Canada.

I was asked a few months ago if I knew anyone that had a classic Toyota that they would be willing to lend for the event to put on display. The first person to pop into mind is of course Matthew with his immaculate AE86 Corolla. We’ve seen this car on the blog many times before (full feature can be found here), so this was obviously a no-brainer.

The second car you see here is also fairly rare these days, an AW11 Toyota MR2. This particular model belongs to my friend Sean and is the naturally aspirated version. Amazingly it only has just over 122,000KM’s on the odometer!

I didn’t snap any photos of these two beauties during the event as it was unbelievably packed, but it was still incredibly refreshing to see some 80’s flavor in a modern day Toyota showroom. Definitely wasn’t a bad way to start the morning.
