Simple Serenity

_DSC6149

Continuing on from last post, while frolicking in the cold Alberta wilderness, I was also busy snapping away at my good friend who we saw last year, simplyteee!
This is something we’ve been talking about doing for a long time, and even though we were faced with challenging weather conditions, I’m glad that we finally got to do it.

While the pictures may make it seem like a winter wonderland, the reality was somewhat the opposite. It was incredibly foggy out and by the time we actually made it to the Banff area, the fog was so thick that you literally couldn’t see the mountains next to you. Either that or we took a wrong turn somewhere and ended up in Silent Hill…

Thankfully the skies were much clearer by the lakes so we could at least see some of the mountains. Did I also mention that the lakes themselves were also crystal clear? This was the ideal setting to sit down and relax for a while which I did…until the hoard of Asian tourists bombarded the place that is.

Anyways hope you all enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed shooting them. Hopefully me and Tina can do this again sometime when the skies are clear the lakes are actually open for canoeing!
