By now it’s no secret; the very first Liberty Walk Gran Turismo in North America made its big debut at Driven Edmonton, and it is absolutely stunning.
Built by my good friends over at Avant Garde Motorsports, I knew from the moment I first laid eyes on the fender and wheel-less chassis that the end product was going to be badass.
The build itself is also being documented in a mini web series (which is still being worked on), so you’ll soon be able to see all the intricate work involved that was required to create this beast.
The obvious main attraction here of course is the Liberty Walk wide body kit, which by no means is your average body kit.
Both front fenders and rear quarter panels have to be painstakingly (and probably nervously) cut away not only for the bolt-on over fenders…
…but to also make room for the massive PUR Luxury Series 14 wheels with that incredible gloss bronze lip finish.
Of course you can’t just slap on a body kit with some fancy wheels and call it a day; wheel gap is enough to make a grown man cry, so to help cure that air suspension specialists AirREX were called in to help.
This allows the cars ride height to be fully adjustable at the touch of a button, regardless if you’re driving around town avoiding potholes, or hard parking for photos as seen here. As a quick word of advice for anyone thinking of going this route with their own vehicles, do NOT have your foot underneath the car when it is being aired down…
Rounding out everything in the back is a pair of Tubi mufflers with their unmistakable rumble. If you somehow don’t manage to see this car driving along the streets, then don’t worry, you’ll hear it coming!
Wrapping things up (literally), the car was then wrapped in a custom Avery Dennison Matte Metallic Garnet Red finish. I’ll be honest when I say that I was initially skeptical of the color choice, but after seeing the car in person I really think it sets it off and finishes the car perfectly.
I personally believe that this car is a big step forward in the right direction for our local automotive scene. Hopefully this is a step in the right direction for us, and that only better and even more crazy builds are to come from here on out.
This vehicle is also currently for sale via Avant Garde Motorsports (see the ad here), so here’s your chance to make this incredible vehicle yours. Just as a word of caution, it doesn’t fit in your average double car garage if there’s another vehicle parked in there!
There’s also a few more photos in the Flickr album below, so be sure to check that out.

Now that is a great piece of work!
