It’s been a while since I took some time off, so recently I went on a short vacation to Vancouver.
It’s been four years since I last visited the Vancouver area, and while I wasn’t very lively due to our 3AM departure…
…I was still very looking forward to the next ten days!
For those of you that don’t know, the drive from Alberta to Britishi Columbia consists mainly of flat land…
…until you reach the mountain roads, going up and down for what seems like an eternity.
Besides the train comes and goes alongside the highway, the scenery doesn’t really change all that much during the 12 hour drive.
Getting stuck behind semi-trucks doesn’t really help either.
However, it’s not all that bad being cramped up in a car for so long. Occasionally as you stop to gas up, you get to indulge on some fresh delicious fruits, as well as meet some nice people along the way who have interesting stories to share from their travels!
Oh, and how could I forget the one and only tunnel you drive through during the entire way there?!
Stick around for so much more as I go around exploring around the Vancouver area, such as the lovely shores of White Rock…
…to the stunning views of Stanley Park…
…not to mention the Vancouver Aquarium at the heart of the park…
…to the endless shopping sprees of the Richmond Night Market…
…and the sights and sounds of Granville Island…
…and the sheer number of exotic and highly modified vehicles on the road…
…topped off with the incredible challenges that even I didn’t know lay ahead!
And at the end of it all, the delicious food to be tried! Stay tuned for so much more!
PS – I found a Carl’s Jr. in Kamloops!
